Stacking a diverse team across generations is something to be admired. But, grappling with generational differences can be a minefield when everyone has their own preference for getting information. If you’re not sure how to get everyone on the same page, problems can arise, and miscommunication amplifies. So, how can you get a generational team to work together in harmony?
Erin McDonald is the Owner of Ta Da Gymnastics Studio in Denver, CO. As a former competitive gymnast, she is extremely passionate about making gymnastics approachable for everyone. She feels every child can benefit from the sport of gymnastics no matter their age. She strives to deliver the best experience to her customers through her team, her facility, and her program.
Erin received her Bachelors from Northern Illinois University, and her MBA from Benedictine University. She spent 12 years working for Fortune 500 companies in sales and sales management roles before opening her doors in September 2018. Erin’s VIP’s include her extremely supportive husband and two very active young children. In her limited free time, she loves to travel, practice yoga, check out local breweries, and enjoy every moment with her family.
Her team spans generations with members aged 15 to over 50’s but finding an effective way to ensure organizational communication across the team has proven to be somewhat of a challenge. In this On Air coaching call, Shelli offers Erin a helping hand when it comes to managing such a wonderfully diverse team and ensuring that communication between team members is organized and understood across the board.
